Top 30 Anne Green Gables Quotes With Images – Anne of Green Gables is a 1908 novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery (published as LM Montgomery). Written for all ages, it is considered a classic children’s novel from the mid-twentieth century. Set in the late 19th century, the novel recounts the adventures of 11-year-old orphaned girl Anne Shirley, who is mistaken for two middle-aged siblings, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who were originally adopted as a boy.
